In order to strengthen business tourism, which has been hit by the pandemic, the Rhineland-Palatinate cities of Mainz, Koblenz, Trier, Ludwigshafen and Worms have joined forces and founded a joint institution for congresses, conferences and meetings. The Convention Bureau Rhineland-Palatinate (CB RLP) is established in order to rebuild the value-added “business tourism” segment in the long term and to continue to use the great potential of Rhineland-Palatinate.

The CB RLP acts as a central platform and point of contact for conferences and congresses in the cities of Rhineland-Palatinate. It is an intermediary between destinations, locations, providers, congress companies, partners and customers. The aim is to jointly market the professional conference and congress offers of the Rhineland-Palatinate cities and thus to make them even more visible and to raise their profile. Marketing and sales measures such as PR, social media and online campaigns as well as road shows, trade fairs and networking events are implemented for this purpose. From the year 2022, the CB RLP will continue to develop and open up to other cities, conference hotels, event locations and event service providers. With the accession of the cities of Landau, Zweibrücken, Frankenthal and Bad Kreuznach, it has been possible to position ourselves more broadly for customers and event/event planners and to expand the city's range of conferences.
